🚨 Twin Falls Police Searching for Armed Suspect

Twin Falls Police are asking for the public’s help locating 26-year-old Anthony Alvarez, who is wanted following an exchange of gunfire at a home on Trotter Drive on August 1.

Alvarez is facing charges of aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied home. Investigators say he is armed and dangerous and may be traveling toward Washington state.

📞 Anyone with information is urged to contact the Twin Falls Police Department immediately.


🔥 Tartar Fire Grows Overnight

The Tartar Fire expanded by another 4,000 acres overnight as crews continue battling flames near Highway 95 and the Midvale area.

🚒 Firefighters have positioned additional crews and equipment to protect:

  • 🏡 Homes
  • 🌾 Ranchland
  • 🛣️ Highway 95

💨 Stronger winds expected this weekend could make the next few days especially challenging.


📷 License Plate Camera Debate Could Reach Idaho Legislature

The debate over automated license plate reader cameras may head to the Idaho Legislature in 2027.

👮 Law enforcement says the technology helps solve crimes more quickly, while 🔒 privacy advocates argue it collects too much information on law-abiding drivers.

Good news! The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has lifted the Air Quality Advisory and burn ban for:

The College of Southern Idaho has hired Taliyah Clark as an assistant coach. Clark starred at UT Arlington and Seattle University, scoring more than 1,200 career points, before serving as a graduate assistant at Western Oregon.


💪 Boise State Freshman Represents Team USA

Boise State’s Addy MacArthur finished 19th in the world in women’s shot put at the World Athletics Under-20 Championships, capping an impressive freshman season.


🏀 Burley Star Commits to CSI

Burley standout Nash Gillette has verbally committed to the College of Southern Idaho following a two-year mission.
