🐄 FEDERAL GRAZING PLAN CHALLENGED: A conservation group is suing the federal government over plans to expand cattle grazing onto more than 24 million acres of federal land across the West. The Center for Biological Diversity says the plan violates environmental laws and could threaten protected species. Federal officials say expanded grazing could support ranchers and help reduce wildfire fuels.

Sixty-six-year-old Miran Kostic is accused of abusing prisoners while serving as an official in Bosnia and Herzegovina and later lying about his past to federal authorities.

GAS PRICES KEEP CLIMBING: AAA says Idaho’s average is now $4.42 a gallon, up seven cents from last week and 91 cents from a year ago. Twin Falls is even higher at $4.47. Idaho ranks seventh nationally for the most expensive gas.

🥔 FARM TO SCHOOL: Idaho’s Farm to School program is helping schools buy more food from local farmers and producers. The state receives $3 million for the program, and about 70% of Idaho schools now participate, serving locally grown potatoes, fruits, vegetables and dairy products.
