Suspect Shot and Killed by Police Near Filer

One person is dead after being shot by police just before 5 p.m. Thursday at a home near Filer. Authorities responded to a report of aggravated battery involving a weapon. A sheriff’s deputy discharged their weapon, killing the suspect. Two victims of the battery were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries. The Twin Falls Police Department is leading the investigation.

Fire Destroys Home Near Jerome KOA

Yesterday afternoon, the Jerome Rural Fire Department responded to a house fire near the KOA campgrounds. Crews arrived just after 4 p.m. to find the home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Twin Falls assisted. The cause of the fire has not been reported.
