Inmate Walkaway Incident Investigated by IDOC

The Idaho Department of Corrections (IDOC) has initiated an investigation into how an inmate managed to leave a work facility in Eastern Idaho earlier this month. On Friday, December 6, IDOC reported that 33-year-old Kevin Kuintzle, who is facing a pending first-degree murder charge in Jerome County, walked away from the Saint Anthony Work Camp. Later that day, IDOC and the Pocatello Police Department located and arrested Kuintzle without incident.


Tragic Truck Fire Claims Toddler’s Life

A two-year-old girl tragically died in a truck fire on the Boise Bench yesterday morning. The child’s mother and father were outside the vehicle when the fire started and were able to rescue a 10-month-old and a 4-year-old from the burning truck. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which police have stated appears to be accidental.


Former Boise Police Chief Joins Baltimore PD

The Baltimore Police Department has announced that former Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee will join their team as the new Chief of Detectives. This position places Lee in one of the nation’s largest police departments. Lee resigned from his position in Boise at the request of Mayor Lauren McLean in the fall of 2022 after a series of reports, accusations, and investigations.

Idaho State Softball Announces 2025 Schedule
