Fatal Crash After Pursuit Near Sublett
Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly rollover crash following a pursuit near Sublett Campground on Sunday. A suspect fled after reports of gunfire and died at the scene after crashing.

Gooding County Homicide Identified
The Gooding County Prosecutor has identified 20-year-old Tyrese Moretz as the victim of a fatal shooting last Friday. Moretz suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead inside a residence.

Motel Shooting in Twin Falls
Twin Falls Police responded to a shooting at the Dunes Motel around 7:30 a.m. yesterday. A man with a gunshot wound to the leg was treated at the scene and taken to St. Luke’s. Officers arrested 31-year-old Tobi Smith for aggravated battery.

Active AMBER Alert
An AMBER Alert remains active for Rachelle and Allen Fischer. Jefferson County detectives now say the vehicle first linked to their disappearance was not in Idaho at the time. The children vanished between 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday. If spotted, call 911 immediately.

Prison Sentence for Sexual Assault
Ryan Cook, 39, was sentenced Monday to 8 to 20 years in prison for raping a 14-year-old boy in a church parking lot. He must register as a sex offender, pay fines, and avoid contact with the victim for 20 years.

Buhl Fire Station Gets Federal Boost
Nearly $3.4 million in federal funding is included in a 2026 appropriations bill to build a new fire station for the Buhl Rural Fire Protection District. Rep. Mike Simpson requested the funds, citing the need for a centrally located facility.

Boise to Enforce Camping Ban
Boise officials say they’ll begin enforcing Idaho’s new public camping ban starting July 1. The city will continue its housing-first approach, but under the new law, police must issue $10 citations for illegal camping.

The Cowboys beat the Owyhee Wave 18U twice — 7–5 and 9–5. Maddox Stadelmeir led the team with multiple hits and pitched a complete game. They host Borah Thursday at Skip Walker Field.

Burley Green Sox A
The Sox extended their win streak to 11, sweeping the Post 4 Razorbacks 15–5 and 3–1. Jake and Ike Redder combined for a no-hitter in Game 2. Next up: Trappers from Utah at the Western Invitational.

Owyhee Wave 16U vs. Cowboys B
The Wave shut out the Cowboys B in both games — 12–0 and 6–0. The Cowboys (17–3) aim to rebound Thursday against Mountain Home.

Kimberly Dogs B
The Dogs stayed perfect at 10–0, sweeping Twin Falls Hawks B 12–1 and 13–3. The Dogs visit Filer Thursday; the Hawks play Minico Friday.

Burley B vs. Jerome B
Burley and Jerome split games, with Jerome winning Game 2 13–3. Burley B hosts Hub City Thursday.

Buhl Tribe B Walk-Offs
The Tribe walked off the Filer Cats B in both games — 15–14 and 9–8 — in two high-drama thrillers.

Jelly Roll Drops in on Boise State
Country star Jelly Roll surprised the Boise State men’s basketball team before his concert with Post Malone at Albertsons Stadium. He gifted Nike gear and invited the team backstage for what became one of the biggest concerts in campus history.

Boise State will send head coach Spencer Danielson, OL Kage Casey, and EDGE Jayden Virgin-Morgan to Mountain West Media Days, July 16–17 in Las Vegas. Danielson led the team to back-to-back MW titles and a CFP berth.

Idaho Vandals Expand Spanish Broadcasts
