DECEMBER 3RD – EDEN COMMUNITY TREE LIGHTING

The annual tree lighting is in Eden again this Friday from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Eden City Hall! Enjoy cookies, cocoa, and carols (and a visit from Santa!) as Eden kicks off Christmas in their community. There will also be a special dedication for long-time Eden mayor Larry Craig.

 

DECEMBER 4TH – KIMBERLY’S ANNUAL ST. NICHOLAS FESTIVAL

Get yourself into the Christmas Spirit by attending Kimberly’s Annual St. Nicholas Festival hosted by the Kimberly Business Owners Association at Kimberly Elementary on Saturday evening, December 4th from 5p until 7pm. They’ll have all traditional events - Community Nativity Display, Living Nativity, Music, Food, and Fireworks! This year with the help of the community they are also doing a Festival of Trees - this is a silent auction - all proceeds go to help East End Providers. Please plan on attending and enjoying the wonderful season.

 

DECEMBER 4TH – MAGIC VALLEY CHORALE CHRISTMAS CONCERT AT THE CSI FINE ARTS CENTER

The Magic Valley Chorale will be singing the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah this Saturday beginning at 7:30pm at the CSI Fine Arts Auditorium, and will be directed by Carson Wong and accompanied by Sue Miller and the Magic Valley Chamber Orchestra. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for students and are available at CSI Fine Arts Auditorium box office, Sav-Mor Drug, Kurt's Pharmacy in the Lynwood, and Deseret Books.

 

DECEMBER 4TH – 8TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN JEROME AT THE JEROME CITY PARK

Kick off the Christmas season by attending the 8th Annual Christmas in Jerome at the Idaho Central Credit Union Park on Saturday, December 4th from 3pm to 6pm. They’ll be passing out Coats for Kids, have free food, hot coco and cider. Plus they’ll have a petting zoo for the kiddos! Live nativity performances and so much more for the 8th Annual Christmas in Jerome at the city park!

 

DECEMBER 6TH – BURLEY AREA MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTING PARADE

The Burley Area Merchants Association will host their annual Christmas Lighting Parade on Monday, December 6th at 6pm in Burley All entries will line up by no later than 5:30pm in front of Dworshack School along 19th Street..  Also the parade is escorting Santa, so please no other Santas on the entries. DECEMBER 10TH – WILSON YOUTH SYMPHONY CHORUS CHRISTMAS CONCERT

DECEMBER 10TH – MINIDOKA COUNTY – UI EXTENSION 4H – GINGERBREAD HOLIDAY FUN FOR KIDS

The Minidoka County, UI Extension 4H will be having some good ol’ Gingerbread Holiday Fun at the Minidoka County Fairground on Friday, December 10th from 10am to 3pm.  Its open to youth between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. They’ll make gingerbread barns, watch a Christmas movie, have lunch and drink hot cocoa. Limited to the first 32 kids. Preregister by going to the event on Facebook and scan the QR code.

DECEMBER 10TH – 11TH -  THE NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE AT THE KING FINE ARTS CENTER

The King Fine Arts Center is pleased to welcome back The Nutcracker Foundation and their annual ballet presentation, directed by Jennifer Sager of Centre Stage Studios with two performances, December 10th and 11th at 7:30pm. Tickets will be available online and at the door.

 

DECEMBER 11TH – MISTLE TOE MARKET CRAFT FAIR AT THE OREGON TRAIL REC DISTRICT

The Mistletoe Market at the Oregon Trail Rec District building in Burley will be held on Saturday, December 11th from 9am to 4pm. There will be all kinds of vendors including food, clothes, jewelry, different home goods and more. Along with vendors we have Santa, the Burley High School Choir, and Christmas Around the World themed activities for everyone to enjoy!

 

DECEMBER 11TH – XAVIER CHARTER SCHOOL MINGLE AND JINGLE VENDOR SHOW

Stop on by Xavier Charter School in Twin Falls on Saturday, December 11th for their Mingle and Jingle Vendor show between 10am and 4pm. Xavier Charter School is located at 1218 N. College Road. DECEMBER 17TH – 18TH – CASTLE ROCK STATE PARK LUMINARY HIKE & WINTER CELEBRATION

Friday, December 17 & Saturday, December 18 drop-In at the Castle Rocks Glamping Yurt between 7pm and 9pm for their Luminary Hike & Winter Celebration. It’s a half mile self-paced hike around Almo Creek that will be lit by 100s of Luminaries

Hot Chocolate, Bonfire, Constellation and Planet Viewing, and Junior Ranger Ornament Crafts. Event is Free with the Donation of a Canned Food for the Idaho Food Bank

Standard Motor Vehicle Entrance Fees Apply ($7 per vehicle without State Parks Pass)

Depending on snow level, snowshoes will be available to rent at the yurt. Rental fee will be waived with an extra donation of 1 canned food per pair. Warm clothes and boots are recommended. Constellation and planet viewing is dependent on weather and sky conditions.

ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN BURLEY FREE COMMUNITY DINNER

The Zion Lutheran Church in Burley is hosting community dinners on the first Tuesday of each month. Everyone is invited to enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship with your neighbors in Burley. There is no charge for the dinner, and no sermon will be given during this time.  Please come and join us and share our meal.

 

SENIOR JUNCTION CENTER MONTHLY BREAKFAST TO BENEFIT THE MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM
