Saturday, September 23rd gather your golfing friends at Clear Lakes Country Club in Buhl to Help support the Buhl Public Library with its sixth annual golf tournament! This event is a fundraiser for the Buhl Public Library and all of the proceeds will be used for library programming for all ages, technology upgrades, library materials, and building upgrades. SEPTEMBER 23RD – NOCTURNAL DREAMS CAR CLUB – CAR SHOW TO BENEFIT MAKE A WISH

Coming up on Sept 23rd head on over to the Twin Falls City Park hosted by the Nocturnal Dreams Car Club and sponsored by Lamb Weston to benefit the Make A Wish Foundations.  The cost is $20.00 to enter your car and there will be an award for Best Car, Truck and Motorcycle. There will also be a "Kids Choice" that will be awarded by one of the Make A Wish kids. The Lamb Weston fry booth will be on hand and ALL proceeds will go to Make A Wish! SEPTEMBER 23RDREDNECK GOLF SCRAMBLE – TO BENEFIT THE MINI-CASSIA WOMEN’S SHELTER

Kat Kountry 106, AM 1230 KBAR and The Ponderosa Golf Course in Burley have teamed up with our first ever Redneck Golf Scramble to benefit the Mini-Cassia Women’s Shelter held on Saturday, Sept. 23rd! We’ll have fun/unique challenges at every hole! So get your 4 man team read! Registration is $25 per person and includes golf cart, golf and dinner after the fun!  Registration will be at Noon and a shotgun start at 1pm. SEPTEMBER 24TH – HAGERMAN FARMERS MARKET & ART FESTIVAL

The Hagerman Farmers Market is hosting an art festival alongside their market Sunday Sept. 24th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Hagerman City Park.  Vendor space and admission are free, come enjoy the Hagerman Art Festival and live music, food, baked goods, and produce. Bring your chairs and come “get-away-for-a-day”!

 

SEPTEMBER 28TH FILER FIRE DEPTARMENT – FIRE SAFETY HOUSE

The Filer Fire Department will be hosting a matching funds fundraiser pancake dinner on Sept. 28th from 5p-7p! Enjoy yummy  pancakes, eggs, hash-browns, sausage and bacon, all donations will be matched by the Modern Woodmen of America. The Filer Fire Department plans on using these funds to improve their fire safety house. The fire safety house is used around the Magic Valley to teach children safe escape routes in the case of a fire. For more information contact the Filer Fire Department at 208-326-4111

 

SEPTEMBER 30TH – ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC SCHOOL “FEEL GOOD 5K” FUN RUN – SENIOR PROJECT

Minico High School Senior Jonathan Brumley is hosting the St. Nicholas Catholic School “Feel Good 5k” Fun Run as he senior project, with proceeds to benefit St. Nicholas Catholic School in Rupert. The fun run will be on Saturday, September 30th at Riverside Park in Heyburn; the cost is $15 per person and registration will be at 8:30am with a 9am start. SEPTEMBER 30TH – U.S. FLAG APPRECIATION @ MINIDOKA CO. HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM

The Rupert Veteran’s Memorial and the Minidoka Co. Historical Society will be hosting a U.S. Flag Appreciation and Education event coming up at 1pm on Sept. 30th at the Minidoka Co. Historical Society Museum. Speakers include Idaho Sen. Kelly Anthon, Cassia Co. School Dist. Supt. SEPTEMBER 30TH - 2nd Ann.  5K & Tailgate Party for Veteran Housing Assistance Program in the Wood River Valley

On Saturday, September 30th at Lion’s Park in Hailey, attend 2nd Annual 5K & Tailgate Party for Veteran Housing Assistance Program in the Wood River Valley. 5B REALTORS for Veterans will give 100% of the proceeds raised from the 5K & Tailgate to sustainable housing assistance for local veterans and their families. To date, the program has helped two veterans with rental assistance (who would otherwise be homeless) and a third, WWII veteran with major home repairs, so that he is able to continue safely living in his home.

OCOTBER 6TH – 14 – MAGIC VALLEY MOM’S CLUB – BLESS THE BABIES FUNDRAISER

Magic Valley M.O.Ms club is a proud supporter of Stanton Healthcare so they are doing a baby needs drive. Boxes will be posted up around the Magic Valley to receive donations. OCTOBER 7TH – HAGERMAN FARMERS MARKET FOSSIL DAY PARADE & PICNIC IN THE PARK

The Hagerman Farmers Market is bringing back the fossil day parade to Hagerman Sunday Oct. 7th from 10 am to 4 pm.  The parade will start at 11 am from the Snake River Grill to the city park. There will be music, food, kid activities, and a pumpkin carving contest!  Vendor space and admission are free, and they are welcoming more parade participants! It’s back, the Hagerman Fossil Day parade!

 

OCTOBER 7TH – BURLEY FIRE DEPT – ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER

It’s that time of year again for the Burley Fire Departments Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser to purchase smoke detectors in homes around Cassia County! The event will be held at the Burley Fire Department on October 7th from 7am to 11am! Enjoy all you can eat pancakes, eggs, sausages, hash browns, juice, coffee, hot chocolate. EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT – FREE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP @ Cassia Regional

Every Tuesday 1-2 PM, in the Boardroom at Cassia Regional Medical Center, a light lunch will be served.

If you are living with cancer, you are not alone. There is a whole support community behind you. This group focuses on education and emotional support for individuals and their families who are being treated for, or have completed treatment for cancer. This group is open-ended (participants may start at any time). EVERY TUESDAY AND FRIDAY – PRESCHOOL STORY TIME AT THE TWIN FALLS PUBLIC LIBRARY

Preschool Storytime is for children who are getting prepared to enter kindergarten and are ready to listen to longer, more complicated books. After story time, they either hold an educational play time or do a fun craft! They get together on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30am. All Library programs and events are free and open to the public.
