NOVEMBER 15TH – RAFT RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT FUNDRAISER

Raft River High School in Malta, needs your help to complete projects not covered by their School Bond.

They are $50,000 short in covering these necessary projects:

  • Sprinkler System, Sod and Sound System in the Auditorium are the three largest expenses.
  • Curbing, Landscaping, Mirrors, Floor Mats are a few of the other items that are needed.

Alumni and Friends of Raft River High School are installing most of the Sprinklers and Sod this fall to protect the new floors. If you would like to support this cause you can send a check directly to the school:

NOVEMBER 16TH – GOODING UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ANNUAL TURKEY DINNER

The United Methodist Church of Gooding located at 805 Main Street will host its Annual Turkey Dinner on November 16th, 2017 from 5-7:30 pm.  The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child under 12 years old. Everyone is welcomed to join in this time of fellowship with friends and neighbors and enjoy good food. For more information please call Donald Larson at 208-934-4887.

 

NOVEMBER 20TH – MR. B.H.S CONTEST AT THE KING FINE ARTS CENTER

The Annual Mr. BHS contest will be held at Burley High School in the King Fine Arts Center on Monday, November 20th at 7:00 PM. This event is a joint fundraiser for the Burley High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter and Burley Special Olympics. Proceeds will be used to pay competition expenses. This year, fifteen senior boys w ill compete to see who will be the new Mr. BHS. Contestants will strut their stuff in various personal style choices and sportswear. They will also show off their talent, and answer impromptu questions. Craig Mills and Bob Withrow will be the Masters of Ceremony. Please come join us; this event is always entertaining! NOVEMBER 23RD  - ALASKA’S BEST FREE COMMUNITY TURKEY DINNER AT THE RUPERT ELKS

If you don’t feel like cooking, or you just don’t feel like eating alone, join everyone at the Rupert Elks for Alaska’s Best Annual Free Community Turkey dinner!  Enjoy all the traditional foods of Thanksgiving from Noon to 4pm! Meals will be delivered to those who are homebound, just call Alaska’s Best to schedule your delivery at 208-436-2447. A free will offering will be accepts and all proceeds raised with go to the area’s Meals on Wheels Program.

 

NOVEMBER 23TH – MINI CASSIA TURKEY TROT 5K FUN RUN @ WEST MINICO

The Mini-Cassia Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning 5K for all ages & activity levels. So gather your family, friends & neighbors and come walk, run, waddle or trot! The mission of the Mini-Cassia Turkey Trot Board is to promote greater unity in our community, raise funds to benefit local programs, and promote health and fitness by organizing an event that will include all members of the community regardless of age or fitness level. The Mini-Cassia Turkey Trot will give families and community groups the opportunity to establish a fun tradition that can be carried over year after year. DECEMBER 2ND – IDAHO WATER SPORTS MOVIE NIGHT TO BENEFIT THE POMERELLE SKI PATROL

Coming upon December, 2nd at 7pm, Idaho WaterSports in Burley will have their movie night to benefit the Pomerelle Ski Patrol!  Free Admission to the movie, hot dogs & cocoa for sale, raffle prizes & door prizes.
